Just found it today on e-bay :

I guess it's throwing better than a SUREFIRE 6P LED .
It's somewhere between TIABLO A8 and FENIX TK10 but closer to TIABLO A8, quite bulkier.
I am wondering if it's worthing the money...or the Solarforce L2 is more appropiate to be chosen ?

Are you comfortable to spend $60 on a Surefire rip-off whose only claim to fame is an R2 emitter? Can that even be verified?

Do you know there is a new LED in town? SSC-P7. C bin is 4X brighter than the Cree R2.

You do need new batteries and charger though.
High capacity C (4500+mAH) or D (10000+mAH) or 18650 Li-on depending on torch.

No disrespect to Surefire, it's hard to find a modern LED light with 2x123A that throws less than SureFire 6P LED unless the light is designed for flood purposely.

I don't think there has ever been a Surefire designed solely for throw.

the only one I can think of would be the 3 inch turboheads, don't remember if they had OP. but see how long it has been, we can see a definite direction here.

Am I the only one who see it's U2-clone with stainless bezel? It has decent throw but it's nowhere close to Tiablo A8/A9.

If the selector ring actually worked on these U2 clones it would be worth a look. Unfortunately it's just there for show. I'd prefer to go with the Fenix T1/TK10 where the head twisting selects the output. I'm not a big fan of multiclick lights.
