I was playing around with the 1 AAA Rayovac penlight, a (DEAD!) battery, and a Beckman Circuitmate DM73 voltmeter and observed the following:
The LED + booster circuit turns OFF at a battery voltage of 0.215 Volts
The LED + booster circuit turns back ON at a battery voltage of 0.420 Volts
Not bad for a $2.93 flashlight from Walmart!
Does anybody have any measurements on any other flashlights, including even more expensive ones?
