Can you put a P7 in a HDS or a NovaTac??

Will this work with just a plain emitter swap or you need completely redesigned drivers to drive the P7?

The main problem would be the physical size of the emitter. The P7 is huge compared to a Luxeon, or Seoul P4 LED. The other issue is trying to get a reflector to fit that won't give you a terrible donut.

The LED will be underdriven with the stock driver, but that is not a problem. It would cut down on the heat.

My advice would be to wait for the Seoul V-bin P4.

But, if anyone could do it, it would be milkyspit.

There's a discussion of this going on now in the Milky L1 thread

One mod I would suggest: Milky just installed a K2 TFFC in a 120P for me. The beam is beautiful, creamy and a bit brighter. I love it. :thumbsup:

:twothumbs the good thing is that I have exactly one of these on its way to me... will see how it goes..:D

Thanks for chiming in DatiLED.. that has always been your advice... I really must get either a HDS or a NovaTac to you once those emitters are out...:D
