E1e tailcap on E2DL?

He folks,

Just wondering....

I have a E2DL, (sometimes wears a E1e body) and don't really love the E2DL tailcap. Reason being, the tailcap is wider than the body, and it's hard to holster or pocket. I'm looking at photos of the E1e and noticing the tailcap is flush with the body. Can I use this tailcap, or one like it with the E2DL? Not really sure if the high/low settings on the E2DL are controlled by the tailcap, the head, or both. I don't want to lose the high/low feature, so if the tailcap is part of the control I'll make do with it the way it is.

Any tips appreciated! Thanks!

Assuming surefire didn't break compatibility in the E series I don't see why not ;)
did your clicky break or just doesn't like it?
I use a Z57 over the stock TC because it doesn't fit in my holster, I use it on my E1e [not being EDC'd because its discontinued] because it allows it to tailstand:grin2:

Any E-series tailcap will work fine.

The electronics for the multiple levels in the E2DL/E1B etc are in the head, changing tailcaps won't affect them.
