Mr. Martin, Rest in peace:candle:.The LAUGH-IN show got me throught many a winter night when I was a pre-teen. The humour was sublime. As Arte Johnson use to say it was "Very interesting".

I remember those characters well. Did you know that the show was actually edited with a razor blade? This was before the days of electronic editing systems and the editing room had long strips of 2" videotape tacked up on the walls, each strip representing a quick cut. They dusted the tape with fine powered iron particles so they could see the frames began (control track pulses) in order to make their edits in the right place.

He had the reputation of being a real regular guy. Started out as a bartender IIRC. He and his wife dolly used to make appearances on shows like match game. What a hilariously funny couple.
Very sad news.

I really enjoyed "Laugh-In", back when i was in High School.

Had a great cast of characters, didn't it ?

Even today, i still sometimes pronounce Potpouri as "Pot-pour-eee". :)

Thank you for the laughs and humor, **** Martin.
