So over the last few weeks I have been getting a lot of crap from friends, family and co-workers about "why do you always carry a flashlight, you dont need it." Well last night was the night. I was at/in a wedding(not mine). IT was about 9pm, everyone was dancing, drinking and having a good time when all of the sudden, the power goes out.......... The entire place went black. All of the sudden from across the room I hear "RYAN, wheres your flashlight." I had all ready pulled the E1B from my back pocket. Lit up the large room enough for everyone to get a seat safely and wait (30) minutes for the power to go back on. I went over by the sheriff that was there and asked him where his light was, all he had was a cheap plastic 1D, $3 wal-mart special that was about 5 lumens......... It was a great "in your face" night!!!!!!

Really nice would have been to pull out a HID and light up the place better than it ever was lit before :)

Yup . . . nice save. I would have handed my pocket light to someone and gone out to the car and grabbed a couple more lights!

looks like someone took a pic of me with my E1B out saving the night. I had my L4 and G2 in my truck, but my truck was at the hotel......

I was also a little tipsy in this picture......
The room looks bright, but thats cause of the flash on the camera!

Good job my brother! Go forth and bring the light to the unenlightened.
E1B sounds just perfect for a suit too.
"... where's your flashlight" Your buddy just had to get that in before you saved the day huh?

I'm surprised any LEO would be using what sounds like a cheap supermarket flashlight. Brightness aside, reliability is important to one's life in that job I'd think.

Ryan, you make us proud :twothumbs

+ 1

Oh, BTW, did you "spotlight" any amorous couples

trying to "make the best of the darkness" ? ? ?

Hmmmm . . . .

Just had another (devious) thought . . . .

You coulda' performed a "Flashlight Experiment",

to determine if a strong, strobing light

makes Drunk people nauseous.
