how to unpot, a Fenix P1D ?

guys i need your advice..i want to upgrade my old P4 to a R2 emitter, but really dont know how i can open that damn P1D...

and before i ruin the whole light i need to know if i can just screw the whole pill out, or if i have to rip it off :duh2:

You need to heat the head for a while to soften the epoxy/thread locker. Once the epoxy gives way, the pill will screw out fairly easily.

I just upgraded my P1-CE with a WC tint Q5. Wow! A 33% increase in brightness for 15 minutes worth of work. The R2 should really pep up your P1D-CE!
