Q: Mag 2D into 1D.

How much do i need to cut the tub length out in order to make a 1D mag? i'll be using a KD lithium. Would it still balanced? What is the spec on the thread since i have to re-thread the tube. I'll bring it to local mill shop but just in case they need that sort of infos

Probably the easiest way to do it would be meaure the total length of two standard D size cells (from end to the button top), then measure the total length of the KD cell. Subract the length of the KD cell from the length of the 2D cells & that is how much you should cut off.

Total length of the tube on FM's 1.25 mags is 160mm, fits KD's protected D cell perfectly.

its from end to end right? not from the end of the switch module.

End to end full tube length. Measured with the head and tail removed from the above of the head threads to the bottom of the tube.
