I was the one with a leaky battery in the tube, I finally got the #@%%^+*#%> battery out of the tube, cleaned it up, and it will not light, probably ruined the head asy. Oh well , I tried, I will just purchase another light. Thanks everyone for your help and advice.

Check all the areas that are ground contacts. Oxidization on these surfaces will result in a non-functional light. I do not think that a leaky battery would cause an L1T to die.

Clean the threads of the battery tube at the head especially well, and give it a light coat of lubricant. Also, clean the threads inside the head and the contacts on the circuit board. Do not neglect the switch, either. A toothbrush and Q-Tips with alcohol will do a good job for this task. Just be sure to allow things to dry before trying the light.
