My daughters' horse got a serious minor, gash/scrape/cut. They've been treating it themselves for a week and a half and it has improved but they want to know if it is doing as well as it should be. My oldest daughter that claims possession of the horse will be posting pics on her blog in the next day or so. I'll put links here. Be forewarned :faint: :sick2:

Irrigate, disinfect and smear with furizone If it's a large gash, it might need sutures. Call the Vet.. Cha Ching!! Try to limit motion until the gash knits well. When my mare cut her knee open, the vet prescribed stall rest. That horse isn't accustomed to being penned up and after a day it was appearent that she would be better off in turnout where she could be herself instead of climbing the walls trying to get out. LOL
