A charger has 4 individual channels.
2 slots at the sides for quick charging.
The middle 2 can be use for AA or AAA charging.

It can charge 4 X AA at 600mA.
Charge 2 X AA at 1200mA(put at the 2 quick charging slots).
Charge 2 X AAA at 300mA.

So if I buy those AA converter for AAA cells. Meaning put the AAA into the AA plastic container to make the AAA become an AA. Can I charge at the middle(using 600mA) or use the quick charging(1200mA).

Will there be any :poof:? Thanks.

Yes you would likely damage the batteries. You are not changing their capacity using the adapter, only their physical profile. 1.2A would definitely damage them (1.5-2C), and 600ma may as well (0.75-1C).

1200 mA is typically 1.2 - 1.4C, which is high but not too high for AAA cells. More problematic is the added insulation by the converter. They will reduce the heat dissipation and worse, will prevent that the heat sensor will register a overheating of the cell and stop the charging process.
I definately would say that for older cells there is a chance that something bad could happen.

If you insist in trying anyway, I would recommend a fireproof place outside. And send pictures!
