Any reviews on the Romisen RC-X5? I'm interested in how well the side clicky switch works.

Although I notice from the screen shots of it vs the RC-N3, seem to be more spotlight like and not alot of flood. I really hope this one will be brighter than my RC-N3. Wonder if they will have a Q5 version of the X5

Different camera exposures can make Cree brighter than HID. X5 is probably noticeably brighter than N3.

It showed up today, I'm sure HK Post isn't so fast.:)
Oops... I didn't notice that. I was checking my ear buds order at DX and inevitably, browsed to 'AA Cree Flashlights' category, and found this flashlight. Somehow, I knew it should be a new flashlight and was hoping that someone here might has it... what was I thinking :p

BTW, how do I compare the Budget Light sticky thread's RC-I3 & RC-N3 lux rating to the RC-X5's "87~150 lumens maximum brightness (manufacturer rated)"?

I wouldn't take the manufacturers lumen claims too seriously.
The lightbox lux measures overall brightness (lumens). I think bessiebennies lightbox lux readings are quite close to one lumen.

How come the RC-N3 looks so much brighter? They both use a Cree P4 emitter. The RC-X5 wall pics look almost like depleted AA alkalines.... dim and yellow :sick2:

They must have use bad AAs or the beam is too spotty to shine on the wall (the head is bigger and more metal extended out than the RC-N3). I don't know..., but looking forward to a review with screen shots anyway :p

'kramer5150' and 'gokusay99' can you read?

Yah, and the exposure digital camera setting too :candle: DX will need to take another picture if they want to sell the flashlight though...
