Elektrolumens P7 M*G questions

hey, anyone have one of those puppies? thoughts?

i have a couple quick stupid questions:

of the two versions there is one that converts the D body to run on C batteries....why would anyone default to a lower capacity battery? why not stick with D?

secondly...could I slap a KD aespheric on one of these for super throw?

what would runtime be with NiMH D or C cells (roughly)

C cells are lighter then D cells by a decent margin. The aspheric lenses don't work well with the multi-die LEDs; it'll project the four dies. Runtime would vary with the mAh of the batteries and how hard they are being drained. To my understaning, there are other things involved, but if you drain 10000mAh cells at 3A; a guesstimate on runtime would be 3 hours from fully charged cells.

I am using one on my P7,you can focus it so as min the dies.
I like it.
