Is it possible to get 2 KD Li-ion cells in a Maglite in parallel? I'm thinking filing it out would work but that may get really boring really quick. I'm not really interested in spending the extra money on a bi-bore but I would if I have to.
To get them in I was thinking of putting a disk with contacts on each side between the batteries. Then I would run 2 wires from the contacts on the spacer (positive and negative) to the switch and go from there.
Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Spencer

If you're talking about the D size cells then you'd need a somewhat elaborate pack or a way to isolate the cells as you noticed. It would likely be easier to have a pack built by LuxLuthor if those cells will fit with the wires in an un-bored host.

that much runtime would be SWEET though :)

I think I would rather use 4 18650's.

The capacity would be close or the same, and wiring solution is obvious.
