400 lumens from a single die emitter? Maybe a single dome emitter? Could be a P7.

omg, what is this monster!

single die? thats highly unlikley....

even an r5 would need to be driven insanely hard for that level of light. maybe its the Cree Mce?

400 lumen's for
What 5 minutes?
Really?
While I suppose this is cool if you like to have a little show off light but...

Just do you expect to be able to do with it?
How long do you expect the batteries to last?
What kind of emitter?

IMHO a light like this carries little or no utility value.
First of all it is too bright to be practical for anything except for showing to your buddy and saying hey look at this and then saying WOW!. Then It is unlikely to operate at this brightness level for any sort of useful length of time.

Personally I just don't see it.
Especially since it is likely to be priced somewhere north of $200.00
Personally If I buy a light which is somewhat expensive it has to be of practical use. In the [past I have spent too much dough on lights which have sat and done nothing for long periods of time.
NO More of that for me. If a light can't prove it's utility shortly after I buy it it is gone.
I no longer even buy lights which do not fit my idea of practical tool grade flashlight.
The only practical use I could have for light of this nature is on my keychain. always there ready to produce a blinding bright light until the battery dies.
Sorry If I am less than enthuistic. That said I am open to learning more about this light.

It looks like the P7b option will produce 400 lumens!! wow. I still do not understand the OP lack of information......

These are not my favorite types of postings.....partial or incomplete and inaccurate information. I am sure it was not deliberate.

Possibly a SPECIAL custom job...??

HA natural --- yet the picture shows it to be bare
K2 LED --- er... um... a... nope!
Key ring hole on battery barrel --- no hole there
Serial number --- yet no number listed - Prototype -
The specs say 300 lumens not 400 --- hmmm? if all of the above info is different, then... I'll stop here.

The original post (OP) is what it is. Re-read it... especially the second line.

So is the SC1500 sending 1.5A to the K2? 300 emitter lumens makes sense then. So would a Cree R2 at 1.5A be over 300 emitter lumens? I assume the advantage of the K2 is tint, and it can better handle the higher current and temps?
