Jack Daniels, Apple Jack, Red Headed Step Child, Guinness, and for wine I like a sweet red or white wine. Not a fan of dry wines. Do like some Merlot's tho

adamlau, it's a good thing I wasn't eating or drinking anything when I read your comment. I would have messed up my computer...big time! That was so, so funny! Thanks for the laugh.

Getting back to wines, how about some nice burgundy wines? Like a '99 Charmes Chambertin from Jean Raphet et Fils. There's also a '00 deVogue Musigny.

Actually, I'm not much of a wine/alcohol person at all, but I must say I liked the 2002 Avalon Cabernet.

Googled "Petite Sirah" right now. I thought you were referring to a pr0nstar :) ...

LOL! Is there seriously a porn star named after the wine variety?

Learn something new everyday!

I love the massive body, fruit, and tannins that many of the better Petite Sirah wines exhibit.

What do you all like?

Try Paloma's massive merlot (napa valley's spring mountain apellation). Needs some cellaring but it is very special. Not a massive producer, I've seen a few bottles at Whole Foods in Napa, otherwise, contact St Helena Wine Center or the winery direct.
A real bargain wine that fits the Petite Syrah category is Nero d' Avola from Sicily. I've found some nice ones at BevMo, and Trader Joes of all places has a very decent one for about $4.99.
If you can find a bottle of Paul Hobbs Cabernet (Howell Mt) you'll be very happy indeed. St Helena Wine Center can probably help you there.
