My friend and i have worked on an electronic assembly line for years and have decided to start making modded p7 Maglites that can be recharged. The Maglites we will be producing will be similar to this one.https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/200557

Will have an output of up to 900 Lumens!!!!

1-C-cell maglite (or whatever size may be desired)
2-Powered by a Molicel rechargeable battery
3-SSC P7 Surrounded by glow powder
4-http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.7612 connected with http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.1886
5-Upgraded reflector at an xtra cost

Re: P7 Maglites!!!!!!!!!!!

Approx cost would probably be between $100-$175 depending on how many bells and whistles you want your light to have.

Hi there,
Definitely interested. Please give us a list of what options you could make available. I am mostly interested in throw, so anything that would enhance range would be seductive!
Good luck with the project and please keep a list of people who are interested because I'm not on the forum every day....... and I wouldn't want to miss anything. I'd be happy to pm or e-mail you to get on your mailing list of that would help.
Thanks

I'm interested. I doubt the final product could be 100 because of the parts listed, the cost of the machining to cut it down, heatsink, emitter, driver, emoli, all ad up to more than that already excluding any labor.

I'll keep my eye on this one for possible purchase.

I would be into one at the prices listed. Maybe more than one if you can do these anywhere near the bottom of that range, but even at the top with the "bells and whistles."
Would an exterior charging jack be a possibility?

Have you built a prototype yet? And test run it for say an hour straight on high. What heatsink are you using? Heat is a major problem on SSC-P7 lights.

Are you doubling up on the AMC7135 1400mA Regulated Circuit Board. A single board will only give 1400mA instead of 2800mA. 1400mA will give you 320 torch/400 LED lumens. Still twice as bright as a Q5 torch but not 900 lumens.

The PWM board is more of a problem. It is only rated for 1000mA. I do not like tripling up on them as the timing seem to vary - you may end up with 1 board switching modes and another in the last mode.

Thank you very much for your interest, my friend and i are going to begin production in about 2 weeks just have to get the process down. I want to really offer a very quality long lasting light here. We are going to be conducting several tests on our initial run of lights to make sure they are as durable, dependable, and long lasting as possible for those of you who have shown an interest.
Once again i would like to thank you for all of your responses and i will be contacting each of you once the process has been perfected.

I am located in Los Angeles Ca. for those of you who asked.

One more thing i am going to offer these lights in as many colors as possible as to try and please everyone, because i know some of you just dont want the plain black lights. Any further questions i will be more than happy to answer.

QUALITY IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are a lot of questions that have already been asked that I would like to see answered. I am interested and I am glad you are all about quality, I would need a few more specifics and answers to preceeding questions would be a good start.

Thanks
