Anyone Tried a Mod With This

Found this on KD, was wondering if anyone had tried to use it for a mod.

no need to use it, i think, this - http://www.kaidomain.com/WEBUI/ProductDetail.aspx?TranID=4466 has better effeciency and lower Vf - 3...4V against 16...20V

I was thinking direct drive in a mag host with a finned and heasinked head, aspheric lens, and a D to AA converter (or better yet, a battery pack). :thumbsup:

I won't argue that the P7 isn't likely a better emmiter, but it does take more than twice the current draw, and needs a driver to run with a battery configuration of more than a couple of cells. If I had one of those 60Ah Li-ion cells, I'd love a P7 :naughty:
Also, I liked the emmiter because of the Vf, since I would plan to drive it with a battery pack that matches that voltage.

I run mine in a 6D host with 18AA and a resistor.

I'm not passing final judgement until my proper reflector arrives.
