what is this aspherical lens for

This has a plastic case wrapping around the lens. Inetresting is that the lens appear protected, not protruding. What popular lights would you think it fit in?

While I don't know exactly what lights it would fit in.. This is no aspherical lens ... What's shown in the picture is a Khatoid Optic Lens..

EDIT: I noticed that you hot-linked the image in your original post... That's against the rules generally (As quoted from The Rules, "In addition, DO NOT hotlink the images!!! Hotlinking is when you are stealing the bandwidth of a website that you do not have permission to link to.". ) It's better you just give us the URL to the image rather than sourcing it into your post.
