Q's regarding nitecore D10

Does anybody know the difference btw old D10 and new version of D10?

And why the new version of D10 got recalled?

As far as I know, you can see one big black chip in old, and 4~5 black chips in new version when you open the head and look inside the head.

What recall are you speaking of? Do you have a link? I have one that the post office should deliver any day now. A little concerned by your post. I'm a confused old man right now.

Nop, I do not have a link.
I went to the store to buy one yesterday (not US),
And the store had both old and new.
And all the new version were on recall.
So, obviously, they were only selling the old version.

So, I came back empty, decided to wait until they have the new version fixed.

That's all I know so far.

How can there be an old and a new version of this light? I pre-ordered when I heard about it, and I got it today. And what "store" is selling them already?

And also, they had the new version of EX10.

And they said it's OK with EX10 - new version.

So, they were selling those !!!

I saw both heads opened up.

as I said, they look different inside the head.

outside the same.

So I pre-order my D10 way before it's even released. Before they are finished producing the first batch. And there's already a new version before I get mine?? How can that be?

This light is just released, it's been in customer's hands roughly a week. I highly doubt an "old" and "new" version. Without a link you don't have anything other than a rumor or speculation. :thinking:

Nitecore's own website states that this light is a collaborative effort with 4-7's. I think we would have heard this from him by now if there were a new model. Maybe your dealer got a second shipment of the same light and that particular shipment was defective.

What do you mean by that?
I visited one of the dealer yesterday, saw two different version with my own eyes.
Dealer did not know exactly what the problem was.

I raised Q's here, thought you guys have some better infos on this,

I don't have the pic's with me now.
But I'll ask the pic's from the dealer.
I'll post it here, if the dealer provides me with the pictures.

The D10 appears to be for sale at LiteMania's website. It lets me add one to my cart and I see no indications of a "recall."
