Oops. Fried something on my driver board! Help.

While modding my Romisen RC-U4 (for a bike light) I accidentally wired it up wrong and fried the beige rectangular SMT component. The light still works, but gets hit a lot quicker. Anyone know what this is? Diode?

Close-up (All I can make out is the number 106 on it).

Maybe it is a 10uF capacitor

@HKJ - thx. I went to the local Sayal and he confirmed.. 10uF CAP. Anyone know if you can sub different rating CAPs? eg 1uF?

changing the capacitance will likely change the drive level. You could do some experimenting with a 1uF, a 10uF and a 50uF cap and see which you prefer.
