Is it OK to charge two AA Ni Mh using MAHA C808M while they are still in the battery converter case? These cases are like this one here http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.7031

The hinges of those converter cases are the weakest point. To extend their lives, it is probably best not to remove the batteries from the case at all and charge them through the converter case.

Is that OK to do so?

Some converter cases like the one above can hold two AA batteries while others only hold one AA battery.

Maybe from time to time the batteres would need to be brought out to be conditioned and the two closest capacity ones be placed into the same case again later ?

Thanks.

If the contacts on the MH-C808M are like they are on my MH-C800S, I would say no.

The contacts make contact with battery towards the edge of the cell.
The DX adapters have their contact point right in the middle.

More importantly, you should not charge two or more NiMH cells in parallel. So if the converter case holds two batteries you must remove them for charging.
