although dont buy any, anyone want a couple ill send you some for shipping cost ($1?)

Notice, its a 50 pack! who the heck needs 50?!

Fitting it onto the Fenix red filter was tricky. POpping out the red filter is easy, then put it in from the top, it should stick abit. Push too hard, it will fall thru, you have to get it just right. Once youre satisfied, epoxy it in place, neatly of course, you dont want excess epoxy blocking the light.

I think you would be better off removing the reflector, my P3D Rebel100 looked like this...

Like Maroon said, they work best without reflectors.

So this just fits into the Fenix filter and not into the head right? Did you epoxy it from the inside, outside, or both?

    Thanks Crenshaw.

Hey thats kind of neat. do you think the result would be similar with my RC-C3?... tiny little thrower.

I kind of like it with the OP reflector, the reflector captures the side emitted lumens that would normally go to waste.

I think the result would be much greater with far more throw than the RC-C3, even more so in front of a Rebel. Obviously a lot of the utilitarian purpose gets tossed out the window, but in this case it's just a slip over which is a great idea. You can have your toy and use it for real too...

I did the same thing with a Nuwaii Q3. I was not impressed with the weird beam pattern. Turning the aspheric upside down however (convex side toward emitter) made for a real nice flood with little discernible hotspot.

I think a good way to clean up the beam a bit would be to rough up the Cree dome to turn it into a diffuser. Since it is at the source, it won't affect focus any and will affect throw by just a small amount - far less than a diffuser film under the aspheric (flat side) would.

    Genius! Snap-on aspheric!

Can the curve go inward (so it can headstand)?

    Thanks,

84Maroon, well, the idea was to make it reversible, so that i have my regular P1D, but also A fair thrower if i wanted..

Patriot36, yeah thats true, but like i told Maroon, its purely so that i dont have to live with only an aspheric beam on the P1D . I epoxied it along the outside, where the edge meets the filter cap. I'll see how it holds up, cos i dont really want to touch the inside of the lens, its such a pain to clean...

kramer5150, it really depends on how far in the actual LED is, cos with the focus length of these, its JUST right for the P1D, the cap is secure, but just barely..

kurni, its beyond the rim of the filter cap, i suppose its possible to sandpaper down the inner ridge of the cap and set the lens further down, but the problem with that is that you wouldnt be able to get the focal length needed.

everyone who wants one, PM me your address, im guessing paypal should be about $1? so preferably cash, otherwise it would be lost in fees..

Ill keep 5 more for myself... leaves 44 to be had

    so far:
    (a few/couple = 3?)

    Beamhead x 3? pm me..
    climberkid x 6
    tricker x 1
    Kabible x 2
    Blindasabat x 3
NotEnoughLight x 3? (pm me, sure,we can meet up somehow. )
    nMotion96 x 3
    jirik_cz x 3

    20 left..

please PM me with details, ill reply with paypal info...

normally i would just cover shipping if its like $1- $2... but $1-$2 adds up when its more people..

Oh, and just to be clear, this is only for the lens...filter available at
    https://www.fenix-store.com/product_...roducts_id=338

althoguh im sure most of you know that..

I didn't have a filter so I made a casing for the lense.
Used on an L1D smooth reflector.

Also I noticed that the farther the wall your hitting the closer the lense has to be to the led. Am i right?

That seems to be right, until the LED is at the focal point of the lens, then it should have the best distance.
