I think I've seen some rubber thing that goes around the business end of the light that was designed to hold in filters... much easier to find for mini-mags, though, as those are OEM.

Mag makes a rubber anti-roll thing for the D-cell flashlights.

Nite Ize makes a neoprene sleeve to fit over the handle of Maglites called the Grip' n Clip http://www.batteryjunction.com/niizegrnclfo1.html

There is also a thick rubber tube you can buy that is designed to fit right over the handle but I cant remember who makes it.

You could also by a can of spray on bed liner and make your own rubberized non slip coating.

I've taken a few lights to a local spray-in truck bedliner shop, and had great results. They do the work for little or nothing, but you might have to wait a week or two for them to get a big job. The shop I go to uses the leftover liner from a big job for the relatively small job of a couple of lights :naughty:

Any pics of how those lights turn out Cowboy? Sounds like an interesting finish. Do you need to do any prep work scuffing up the finish?
