Noob cant get flashlight apart...Help please

So I want to change the o-ring in my jetbeam II Pro to GITD in the front.

When I take the head out, I cant figure out how to seperate the pill from the rest of the head so i can get the reflector out and change the o ring...

Can anyone help?

I don't know if this is going to be of any help to you, but with the Jetbeam C-LE you twist the head apart. It seperates at a groove just above a milled ring.

Remove the ring that holds the lens (it's screwed in between lens and the bezel).

whoa... Thanks Phantom, didnt even see that there were two parts there...

any non-obvious way of getting that out?

Also if anyone has removed the tail cap section I would love to here some details about it (if there are any), i know you're supposed to just use a needle nose plies, but i cant get it to budge and dont want to break the piece...


Has anyone considered having that plastic piece cast in some sort of metal? perhaps aluminum? I am going to see a jeweler who I work for occasionally today, to see what metals he casts in, and how intricate he can get... and what it would cost he has a low overhead so maybe something reasonable could come from it
