How to take the head off of a X1

Just tried that...until I realized Gen. 2 lights have a spring on the head that will compress. With no way to compress it while the water sets, it didn't work LOL. Back to the drawing board.

Bah, gave up on it. Used a nut so I wouldn't smash the copper/brass contact nub to pieces, and bashed the crap out of the light. Still hasn't budged an inch. Arrg...might as well get a new one. Anyone selling Gen 2 X1's, PM me.

Inova lights are like that...seriously unbreakable.
All Inova models excluding the X1 [2nd/3rd gen] have the window sandwiched inside the Stainless bezel. the X1 is glued on:shakehead

Exactly....pisses the crap out of me. They make it so hard to take apart but so easy to break it unintentionally....my guess is that it wasn't meant to be fixed, replaced rather.
