I want to go dimmer.
The current obsession with going brighter and brighter does not fit in with my nocturnal wanderings, which are all indoors.
I have many CR123 cells, either partially used, with not enough juice left in them to power my more powerful torches, and just plain overstocking.
So, I'm thinking of a single CR123 bodies torch, with clicky, that drives a 5mm 20,000 mcd led, or similar low output led.
Probably direct drive, and dead cheap !!
Anyone modded downwards (simply), or have suggestions ?
Possibly a switched CR123 battery box, or even a decent CR123 carrier, with solderable leads.
My best indoor torch has always been the SuperBright 9v with two levels, and my own 9v torches, so a comparable output (≈4 lumens) would be ideal.
My P3D will give low levels, as will a couple of older AA torches, just want an inexpensive way of utilising CR123's indoors, and NO, I don't want a multi level off the shelf torch.
Possibly even a single cr123 powered headlamp
