As stated in my first post I was using 3 x Rayovac Lithiums with my M3 + LF HO-M3 + Z58 Clickie combination and it wouldn't work...Once I removed the spring from the tailcap it worked fine...When the 3v batt's ran out, I began using AW protected 17500s.

Once again, click...NADA! :banghead:

The 2 AW 17500s are just a tiny bit longer than the 3 x 3v batt's...so I cut a bit of the outer spring off of the HO-M3...AND NOW IT WORKS

I'm still curious if anyone else has had to mod their HO-M3 to run off of AW 17500s or any other type of battery?

My EO-M3T was being shifty when I first got it and I was using AW 17670s. I stretched the tailcap spring a tiny bit and it fixed the problem.

Did you mean 17500's? I think the only way it would work with 17670's is in a M4.

I'm not having any trouble with the EO-M3 combinations in three different lights. Everything is good. :grin2: It's a great lamp btw!
