AA Body on a Fenix P1D

I was just thinking that the P1D would make an awesome light in AA configuration. Has anybody lego'd one of these together? The L1D is a good light but its a bit too big for my tastes in 1xAA config. The P1D AA would be the perfect size.

Lets see it if you've done it, and if not, let me know if you have any thought about how it would work or how it could be pieced together. I was thinking maybe you could get two P1D bodies and weld the threaded portion of one onto the other and it would be roughly the right size. Can anyone give this a shot? :thinking:

Just came across this from another forum. This is a stainless steel extension that supposedly turns a P1D/P2D to accept an AA battery.

right on! i wonder if any other flashlight's AA body might fit the P1D?
