What to do with a first gen KL1?

Just got one and I was wondering what the newest mods for these are?

At minimum I'd suggest a Seoul P4 LED and a 17mm Khatod reflector - very easy. You can increase the drive current by adding a surface mount resistor. I posted a photoguide to disassembly if you search.

If you want a big project, I guess the sky's the limit.

Sell it to me and buy a new head.

Maybe trade for a NiteCore Extreme head?

Just swap the LED and you'll see over a 100% increase in output. I'd leave it at that since the runtime will be about four hours--nice and long. Great for a general purpose light, or stick in your bug out bag.
