I've been extremely interested in N-Cell lights lately.
I was thinking maybe we could start an N-cell light list/ picture thread.

Here are some N-cell lights I know of. There are probably many more. I haven't been around the forums as long as most. Here goes:
* Has been edited to include lights mentioned by other members

Single Cell

The ORB Flik Lite

Anything I missed? Please let me know.
Also I'm not fortunate enough to own any of these lights, so bring on the pictures! <Assuming it's ok with the Mod's/admins? I don't want to eat up too much bandwith.

I am not sure however I believe Lambda (not sure on that) made an N-Cell mod that was popular. If I remember correct it used the streamlight keymate as a host. I also think that a few of the LarryLights customs used N-Cells however it has been so long my mind is a little fuzzy on all this.

Coast has an N-Cell light they sell through RadioShack.

The barrel-mounted switch is tiny.

The Draco uses a 10280 Li-Ion, which is the same size as an N-cell but not the same thing.

My bad. I had no idea. Very Interesting though. The driver must be limited at around 300-350ma-ish then?

I'll have to look up the coast, lambda and the larry light custom.

I'm not sure exactly. You could look for the figure in modamag's thread, but I'm not sure he gives it. I think it pushes the cell pretty hard.

I was under the impression that N cells had pitiful capacity and even worse discharge current. Why would one prefer a N flashlight over a CR2 one?

Size. it's not too bad. some of the nimh cells the keylux was designed for are about 400 mah. with nimh thats pretty decent current. Voltage is only 1.2 though. It's always win some loose some.

I'm not sure if you're only interested in current lights or not, but about 25 years I had a Tekna that ran on 2 N-cells. It was my first "real" flashlight, unfortunately it's been long lost. I wish I had I had a picture to post for the thread.

I'm definitely interested. I'm actually going to look it up. I love seeing how things have developed.

Here's the TnC "N" next to a couple other classics. I have the "AAA" tube for it as well, it makes it rather long though compared to the others.

Arc AA, TnC Keylux AA, TnC Kelyux N, Arc P

TnC N "Proto", TnC N natural, TnC Black, Peak N

Icarus was very kind and built some neat LE's that run "N" Li-ons

Click Link

I believe that many carried TnC "N"'s as EDC lights....TnC also sold re-chargeable "N" batteries that are still available.

I really like the size and have never had a batter longevity issue ?

You can run a Peak Baltic off a Shasta N cell pocket body - this gives you a short light.

It was the Tekna Micro-Lith. Originally it came with a lithium battery for long term storage use and the packaging said you could use two N cells if the lithium wasn't available. My brother and I each had one. It was gray polymer and the lens was magnifying. It used a small bi-pin bulb.

The Streamlight Baton-Lite uses 3 N cells. It was really meant to be a kubitan rather than a baton.

Don't know if it's considered a Shasta, but I've got a Peak raw alum protoype 2N that's the nicest cyan I've seen.
