Hello,
I just received my L2D Q5 and I find it really awesome.
However I find the beam slightly yellow comparing to my jetbeam c-le, so I am a little disapointed.
I read rebel emitter had a yellow tint but not the Q5 which is suposed to be very white.
What do you think about that ?

Thanks.

Yup it's normal. It's probably one with the new reverse polarity protection.

My original non-reverse polarity protection is nice and white, and the newer one is slightly warmer / yellow.

Most people prefer a warmer tint as they say it light things more naturally. I really can't see any critical difference but it's fine either way.

Yeah, I compared my SF G2 LED (bluish/white) to my buddies UniQ (Cree Q5) drop-in (6P knockoff host).

The Q5 was much yellower and warmer (read way better) than the SF G2 LED.

The Q5 was cooler than my Xenon E2e (read way better).

At this point, I think that the Q5 is just about the best thing going.

In actualy use, that warmer color really makes things easier to see and find.

I would consider a warmer yellow tint a plus as well...as long as it`s not at the expense of brightness.
