Hello,
I see Surefire makes a flip style diffuser that slips and locks over the head of a flashlight. I was wondering if anyone knew of another company that made such a gadget?
I have been thinking about making my own out of some of the flip up covers for rifle scopes. They are sold in various sizes just a matter of finding one that fits. Then you could either fit it with a diffusing material or just sand the lens lightly until you got the desired results. Anybody try something similar?

TIA

i have an improvised diffuser made by cutting a hole out of protective chair legs covers. fits E1L or any lights with 1.0" diameter. diffuser material is recycled from discarded water bottle.

its a slip on/off, not flip style, similiar to Surefire's F03 filter. :D

Thanks for the input. I googled butler creek, and I see that they make some gun related products including flip up scope covers. Didn't see anything specifically for flashlights but I guess a scope cover the right size is probably the "poor man's" route.

Thanks again,

Jon
