This is a M@G D head I coned, finned and turned the engraving off of. I think it looks pretty cool. The head started out with the anodize already stripped.

Looks good.

For a passive heatsink, an airspace between fins of about 10mm is most useful.. but it doesn't look quite as good as fins closer together.

I like it Brian, particularly the chamfer at the bottom to flow into the tube.
The finning proportions are pleasing to the eye.
Nice work!

Hehe, the last area at the bottom was not touched. It's got the stock curve to it still. I was thinking about going back and putting a flat chamfer on it though. :thinking:

It was decided by the new owner of the head to turn the knurling off all together. Here's what it looks like now.

It took a few comparisons back and forth, but I'd have to say it looks better without the knurling, or at least, the stock knurling.

The shape is great!
