I've got a SureFire M3-CB. I really like the look and feel, but I don't care much for the oblong beam and pathetic runtime. I want to know if anyone has done a mod like this, and what would be involved. I assume MilkySpit is a good person to talk to, but the last time I PM'd him, he never answered.

I don't know how to remove the reflector, but I haven't tried. It's probably held in by the bezel ring.

So what I'd like is more output (~2x the MN11), longer run-time (probably over 2 hours with Li-Ion/Li-FePO4), and I don't care if it's a reflector or optic, as long as the beam has decent throw, with a smooth corona, spill isn't too important. I don't really have access to a machine shop, so I'd like to do it however I can without a lathe. I do have an electronics workshop, so I can solder and test.
