I bought the 1W 20-Lumen LED Flashlight (1*AA) @DX for $3.50

Sure, it's not as bright as the RC-G2 ($11.30), but at 1/3 the cost i find it to be the best bang for the buck for 1AA.
and it tailstands!

only 1 hour of run time? Is that a typo, did they leave off a "0" ? Must be one seriously inefficient driver and emitter.

I have a couple of these, and it runs with solid regulation at about 15 Lumens for at least 4-5 hours before dimming.

meh. Although its cheap, its big and has a pretty bad battery life for 20 lumens..

It has to be compared to MXDL 3W LED @ $3.58 or similarly priced stuff... Anyone done that?

Except from letting your kids have them to school-camps in the woods , if that, they're probably not of much use... :thinking:

After modding with a multi-mode driver and a better led, The price will be abou $15-$20.

Better to get an ultrafire.

But if use it as it is or just want to have a flashlight host, it's ok.
