Help removing the lens from an E20?

I wanted to place a diffusion layer behind the lens in an E20, but I
couldn't unscrew the reflector. Are the threads glued? I tried needlenose
pliers, but I could not budge the reflector.

Loctite most likely. Put the head in a plastic bag and boil it*. Then try unscrewing with strap wrenches or leather gloves.

edit: * NOT in the microwave!!
