Malkoff Mag Drop-in users - What reflector are you using?

I have a 3D maglite, UCL lens and Malkoff 2-3 cell drop in on the way. I know the drop-in requires you to cut down the stock reflector if you desire to use it, but will I see an increase in performance by using an aluminum reflector? Has anybody compared the stock plastic one to an aftermarket camless one?

Good question. I'm just using a stock reflector that Gene removed the cam from.

i use kai mop , its great ...i had the kai smo but i never used it i figure the plastic smo would be fine

Just a cut down stock one.
A smooth Al reflector with a hole just big enough to fit would be pretty sweet.

Just ordered the KD MOP 15mm hole reflector. Anybody have any problems with this one? Does it require shims to focus correctly?

I used one of the KD MOP reflectors that has the screw on cam with my 3C Malkoff and it works perfect. I didn't use the cam, of course.

Stock mag one, cut off myself with dremel tool.

tried one from DX, much more flood, useful indoors but not outdoors.
