Is a SureFire really worth it for its price?

Im just wondering, i really love SureFire. I already have 3, G2, E1B and 6PL

Defender.. But after looking at other flashlight brands like Fenix and

G&P(which costs much lower but produces a much higher output), what are

the benefits of using a SureFire? Can someone enlighten me? :confused:

There are 999999 threads about this, it's pointless starting another one especially referencing specific specific other "competing" brands as it will degenerate into an argument.

I think (I hope) so..

I am currently debating between a SureFire mod (9P + M60 module + Leef body with 2x18650)

vs. Fenix P3D with X-body and 2x17500

will probably get SF, as:

* I never had one
* Higher quality
* Has more lego options

It's more expensive,for sure. It's the 2nd and probably the last lite I will buy this year.

Compared to other brands..No..You pay a lot for the name like BMW or Mercedes :tinfoil:

They seem to have a high clickie-failure rate...:whistle:

the reputation of SFs comes from the incan-age,
what I have seen so far - in regard to led models - cant stand up to the competition
(imho the Led models are built this low output to not compete with the incan models)
in "normal" sized and powered lights, they are in no way up to Fenix and competitors --> thats 3P, 6P, 8X, 9N

that said, I dont have newer Fenix, but a Cree+18650 modded 6P (modded by me, no crappy insert that cookes the led) and I love it.

As long as there is no good competitor, this stays my main light
(NO, that crappy TK11 is no competitor. All these "tactical" lights are not built to be withdrawn with ease, kick them.

(PS: imho Fenix was a very quick reacting and forwarding maker.
Now they diversify too much and in the wrong direction. Wish them that the tactical crowd overcomes us staring buyers, who helped Fenix to stomp the market, in numbers. We are no longer interested in that fancy actual makes.
... to be honest: the 6P were not the powerhorse of SFs sellers, if the tactical breed liked sharp edges, crownes and such useless parts, so beware Fenix)
