Any difference in these lights besides the slight power level variance and the design of the light itself? Same insides, different housing?

You just answered your own question. Different power levels means something is different inside the light.

the site says that the PD20 runs on 3.0v CR123s, does anyone here know if it can run on 3.6/3.7v RCR123s?? Primary CR123s are expensive where i live so i would have a few on hand but these would be more for emergency/back up use and i would be running mainly on 3.6/3.7v RCR123s

Using 3.6/3.7 RCR 123s, what I see with my PD20 and a few P2Ds I have owned is this; In general mode I get one output, say 100lm, while in turbo it's about 50% more. No low or med output. This is with a homemade lightbox.

i see, guess that means i would lose the other modes. Hmmm, if that's the case, i may as well just go get a DX single mode light instead.
