Hi there!

I searched thru the forums, but couldn't find any info on this one, so I'll take my changes on not making a double-post here.

Silva is coming out with a new killer-lamp (according to themselves) in january 2009:

Has anyone any "inside" info on how this holds up to other high-performance lamps? (Lupine etc...)

Thanks in advance!

Not seen this, but it looks very nice. Possibly a rival to Petzl's new Ultra?

I think what might put me off is the price.....as the Petzl would make a dent in the wallet....

It says that the spot beam works at the same time as the flood. Wonder if the user will have the option of swicthing between the two??

Also, no idea what type of power supply it will have.

Sorry to say my friend, I know as much about it as you at this stage!

Roll on Jan, looking forward to seeing the spec.

Here in Sweden it will cost about 4000 SEK (480 USD)

It has a homepage of its own here, but it seems to be down at the moment.

Some specs can be found in this norwegian test:

Lumen: 540
Battery: 292g Li-ion

Mila also has Led headlamps. The Nova has 6 rebels they claim give 2000 lumens in output! Well... doesn't sound too convincing, or maybe they are over driving 100%?

Thanks for the links What a shame that I don't understand the norwegian language...:mecry:

I think that the prices of the power headlamps are for the clouds......luck that I did the mine very cheap and very powerful...:D

Greetings - Saludos

Here's a quick translation of the Alpha Intelligent Light review:

Price 4449 NOK (about 643 USD, probably including 25% Norwegian VAT)
Lumen: 540
battery: Li-Ion
Burn time on max: 3 hours
Charging time: 4 hours
Weight on head: 116g
Weight of battery: 292g
Ideal for: Running, skiing biking (handlebar), biking (helmet)

Pros:
Very good light. Reaches far and good flooding.
Several power modes Long battery life and short charging time.
Good for most activities. Includes good headband, handlebar strap, helmet- and battery- strap. Easy to change between straps. Exists in a cheaper edition without helmet strap and handlebar strap and with less battery capacity.

Cons:
Expensive

Not the best English, but that's how it gets when you do it quick :)
