A place in need of light.
I was using Duracell's 2450 batteries in My 3xAA LED Minimag, which has aloud me to make some use for this light again. Well anyway when I ran the batteries down I went to charge them in my cheap Duracell charger. Problem? It won't charge only 3:(. It's red light will only come on with 2 or 4 "I was guessing this would happen". So I stuck the closes metal object I could find in the last slot. Sure enough the light turned on and it started charging. I left it on my fire resistant lockbox overnight. When I woke the green light came on and they semmed charged:thumbsup:. So It seems to work alright one time, but is it safe to continue to do so:confused:.

No, the lone cell in the 3rd slot is being hideously overcharged with double the voltage.

Get a 4-channel smart charger, they aren't expensive.
