Well, Lighthound no long carries the SMJLED PR base bulb and I can't find another vendor. I like these for casual, long runtime use around the house.

Any help, please!

^Almost twice as much though... however the 2 and 5 pack are a bit better price per bulb then one.

I was thinking of picking up one or two at Lighthound before but since the minimum shipping to Canada is now $11 something and I did not have much else that I wanted enough to make shipping cost not as steep...

I may be ordering 1 or 2 of those bulbs soon...

Sad day. I love the SMJLED module (although the pr2 drop-ins that lighthound had were the single SS die version that didn't use every miliwatt of battery power like the 4-die version. Maybe someday someone will make another PR2 drop-in this useful.

Yes, i always hoped these PR-based SMJLED bulbs
would "catch fire", and really take off.

What a great upgrade opportunity,
what with a Hundred Million PR-2 (type) flashlights
in existence all around the world.

When i first came across these items,
back in 2006, i thought they'd be selling like mad !

Sadly, they are now just barely available. :sigh:

Gee, what happened ? ? ?

Hey Burgess, don't get down, they're still available at the Sandwich Shoppe. I'm thinking about trying one of these... I'll let you know.

But, right now I wish I had 4 or 5 more SMJLED's. They are really nice to use in household utility lights.

This from Dorcy Direct.com:
On the checkout page at bottom where it says coupon type in 5freeship and it will give you a 5% discount along with free shipping on your order.

Try 20freeship

It says $8 each however when I go to checkout I get $10.00 before any coupons, but they only ship in US anyways...
