Please explain relationship between HDS and NovaTac

I'm a bit confused, can someone please explain the relationship between Ra-Lights/HDS and NovaTac?

It is clear that Henry Schneiker of HDS designed the NovaTac lights, but how did that go down exactly? Did NovaTac approach Henry to design them a flashlight? Was the light already designed and NovaTac purchased the rights to produce them? Or what?

If NovaTac is a CA based company, why are they manufactured here in AZ and not CA?

Novatac and HDS merged at some point. The HDS EDC product line became the Novatac EDC.

Novatac decided they wanted things done one way. Henry wanted it another way. Henry left. He took engineers with him.

Henry restarted HDS, now Ra Lights.

Henry now released the Ra Twisty and will be releasing an updated HDS EDC, now known as the Ra Clicky.

HDS invented it. Novatac bought it.

To add to the above: Novatac took on the HDS warranty obligations when they acquired HDS. They later resiled from this, and disposed of the remaining HDS inventory, selling it to Lighthound. Ra Lights (Henry) have since taken on the HDS warranty.
