Dead Q5

ok, so i modded a 2d mag with a q5 drop-in from kaidomain. I was very happy with it up until a few moments ago when the led just died. It still lights up but only to about 1/1000th of the brightness it was before, you can hardly even notice that it lights up at all. I've tried several new batteries so it's not that!

1. Is it completely dead?

2. What may have caused this?

Would appreciate your help!

It sounds as if the driver is the component that died.

If you want to test out the led itself, hook up a li-ion (or 3 nimhs) directly to the led's anode & cathode.

You get a very similar output when there is a short. I'd disect it further to find out what is wrong.
