This reminds me of these lines from the first Star Wars movie:

    Luke Skywalker: She's rich.
    Han Solo: [interested] Rich?
Luke Skywalker: Rich, powerful. Listen, if you were to rescue her, the reward would be...
    Han Solo: What?
Luke Skywalker: Well, more wealth than you can imagine!
Han Solo: I don't know, I can imagine quite a bit.

dont really like their facts/comparisons, i like to think of it as:

    $700,000,000,000 = 80 * (365 * 23,972,602)

if you had $700 billion dollars, you could spend ~$24 million dollars a day for the next 80 years.

I'd have trouble spending $24 million in my entire life, never mind in one day.

"Stacking dollar coins would produce a pile 435,000 miles high, well beyond the distance to the Moon. And still no one would want them."
    ...

"Federal expenditures to fight the entire World War II and run the rest of the country, adjusted to the 2000 dollars, were only $1.2 trillion."

700 billion would be almost enough to solve CPF's server busy problem!

Who'll be the first to give proper credit for this quote?

You could buy multiple companies and share the designs. I think I'd buy Surefire and Fenix. I'd make a combination of a UB2, the Fenix L and P series lights and a headlight. I'd start with a UB2, change the l.e.d. to a Cree MC-E with R4 emmiters, and give it different body tubes for AAs, CR123As, and an 18650s. Then, I'd make the middle of each body tube antiroll with the ends being round. Then add a headlight bracket with two short horizontal tubes on the outside ends. Then have a piece that screws on to the ends and leads to the head (which screws onto this piece perpendicular to the battery tube. Basically, the head would rotate around the body tube similar to the design of the Coleman 3AAA Cree headlight. The light would be totally modular, adjustable in brightness, adjustable to battery type, and change easily from headlight to flashlight. It would be up to 600 lumens on high for an hour (on 2 123As). Oh, I forgot that the four emmiters would be different white tints so you could adjust from cool, to neutral, to warm white by turning another dial.
Unfortunetly, no company is going to design this light, because I'd never need to buy another one from them again.

I wish they had picked "1 Trillion" (which is surely more likely). It rolls off the tongue easier, while being equally preposterous.

Everyone, please note OP's request (now mine as well). No comments that will invite political debate, please.
