Is there any known fix for a SureFire Exectutive Defender E2D LED light that is stuck in high (120 lumens) power. The flashlight is supposed to toggle from high power to low power (5 lumens) within two seconds of the light activation.

Thanks in advance for any insights...

I suggest that you call Surefire tomorrow to arrange for a replacement tailcap to be sent to you. Surefire's warranty department is excellent !

It sounds like you have one of the early E2DL's that were released without dual output. Some (maybe all) of them even said dual output on the package, but were single output.

Personally, I prefer the single output version.

The switch isn't the problem. If you click off and click back on within two seconds and the flashlight doesn't change the output level, it's one of the "error" single level E2DL. The switch is just a simple on/off switch and the output level is controlled by the electronic in head. Also, the packaging of all those single level E2DL tells about two levels. If you don't like it this way, sell it on B/S/T, many people may be interested in them as they are becomming a rare item! Don't send it back to SureFire as this unique light will be "lost". :)
