Here ya go folks, another TR-801 with a P7 built
just for that lucky person that says "I'll Take It"!

Some Pics for All....

Obviously it is REALLY hard to capture what the Eye sees
with a camera... But there is ALOT more sidespill than
meets the eye, hehe:nana:

The Mini-Clip for a key-chain can be omitted if you want.
It has a DSWOJ P7 running from the stock 5-Mode
Driver that the light came with. It is running from about
1400ma on high.. That is about 2x as bright as the
original Q5 that it came with. It is more of a short
thrower than a long distance one, which is perfect for
a nice bright pocket EDC  G.I.T.D. Tail-Cap Also.

The modes are High,Med,Low,Strobe,S.O.S.

I am asking 120.00$ for this little gem
Shipping for Conus Included, Intl. Extra

Forgot to add, it has Mode Memory

What lumens do you expect this to be?
What kind of batteries does it use?
I'll pay more if you put more features, :)
tail backlight with lockout, and thermal epoxy in the inside.
Also, what kid of batteries does it use?
I'm really looking to get one of these.

Thanks!

It uses 18650 Lithium-ions
The tailcap cannot be made to self-glow with an
led due to the type of driver it uses.
It will do a lockout though  just unscrew the
cap a quarter-turn :grin2:

I can supply you with a set of 2 18650's and
a charger... But it will cost about 30.00 extra :p
That covers the cost of the charger, and batts,
plus the extra shipping involved.

You can get those items on Dealextreme.com
if you want to go that route, or don't have them.

I am not trying to be a smarta$$ but i am
trying to look out for ya! I don't want you to
blowup:poof: those batts in the wrong charger

to Los Angelos ? If you want it...

I have the 18640 batteries for my RPL laser, so it should work.
What brand are they?
Did you put thermal epoxy or a better heatsink in them? :)
Do you think you can find a different driver for this light?
2 modes would be good enough.
This light is waterproof, right?
Just making sure, :D

Thanks!

#1 Blue-Label Trustfire 2500ma

#2 Yes, Arctic Ceramic Epoxy was
used to afix the P7 to the Stock heatsink

#3 Maybe, But the lead time would be
quite a while.. and could cost up to
40.00 more for just the driver..

#4 Water-Resistant... Not Water-Proof
It will survive a quick dunk in the water
for a second.. but not a "Dive".
I did silicone the front glass in place for
the light to be water resistant, As they
don't come that way from the factory.
All seals have been greased too.

Hmmm, what other models do you have?
I would like one that's water proof.

How far down underwater would you like to go
with it?

Right now i only have 2 lights for sale.
The other one is the 3x P7 Mag Floodlight with
a built-in fan for cooling.

Re: Custom Trustfire TR-801 with P7 and 5-Mode Driver

How will you make it waterproof?
Can you fill the whole light with thermal epoxy? :)
Fill every gap, cormer, etc...
I just want it as durable as possible, like a surefire.
How will it compare to a Jetbeam or a Surefire, durability wise.

This light is just a durable as a jetbeam or surefire.
And Yes, i will fill the front of the light with epoxy
to make it waterproof. It will still be fully servicable,
Should you want to change the led, or clean the o-rings.
By looking at the outside, you would not be able to
tell i made it fully waterproof.

So this light will be completely submersable?
Trustfire just sounds like a generic name for Surefire, so I think it's not durable, :\
What kind doea the trustfire lights use?
And how thick is the metal?

#1 Yes

#2,3 It is a generic light.. And the metal is as thick
as my jetbeam.

The trustfire has a glow in the dark cap, but i cannot
put the led behind it due to the driver board..

The Jetbeam only comes with a black tailcap..
It can be changed to a glow in the dark cap,
but i cannot change it to an led glow either..

There are very few driver boards that can pull
this led glowcap function off... and i don't have
any more of those drivers.. it would cost about
20.00 more to do it, and it would take about
2-3 weeks to get an order in.
