What to put the EverLED in-Streamlight 4AA?

Does anyone know if the EverLED will work with this flashlight? Is there any agreement as to what the best flashlight would be for the EverLED; especially a smaller, perhaps 4AA flashlight?

No, it won't work. The Streamlight doesn't use a PR based lamp. That doesn't mean that our very capable modders in the Mod Forum couldn't figure out a way, but it would take more than just dropping the EverLED in.

So what is the ideal flashlight for and EverLED?

I've put mine into a 2C cell Brinkmann Legend. That particular flashlight holds some special sentimental value, plus I consider the C cell Legends superior to the C cell Maglites. Unfortunately the C cell Legends are available hardly anywhere other than directly from Brinkmann.

The way to judge a good light for it is to view in the same way as an incandescent. A light that performs well with an incandescent will likely do well with the EverLED. A faceted reflector will make a more pleasing beam, while one you can focus will give you more throw.
