OK, I know there's some geo-cachers out there somewhere. I've been wanting a GPS for some time and I ordered one today. I should have posted first and ordered after I got feedback but I just could stand it.
My first GPS is a Garmin Etrex Vista. It has all the features I want. The only bad thing I've heard is that 1% of owners complain of poor signal. I have a friend with a regular Etrex and it's great. Usually tracks on 9 or more satelites here in central florida.
I got the Vista for 230 shipped brand new. Did I do good?

Well I would think so. I bought the same one last fall at a brick and mortar store for $350 and then a $50 rebate to bring it to $300. A fun unit that has brought quite a bit of enjoyment. I do lose coverage under moderate tree cover. Don't know if this is normal or not as have never owned another GPS.
